ME's health update

Hi All,

Thanks for the prayers and love and support. It certainly gave us much more confidence going into the appt, simply to know that so many hearts and souls were with us.

So some background: we had this appointment with Neurosurgery because Mirabel's head has been growing in the 95th to 99th percentile for her age. This is a potential sign of hydrocephalus (water on the brain) which can be a serious problem. 

While at the Dr's today, they said quite a few things to put our hearts at ease:

• They reviewed all of her notes and history (yay, for being thorough!)
• Her CT scans showed that the extra fluid she'd previously had has now been almost completely absorbed, so her ventricles are functioning properly, even though they're just a little larger than normal.
• She shows no other signs or symptoms to cause alarm, and furthermore, they believe her extra large head right now will eventually be caught up by her body.

In short, she's not in danger and will not need any surgical interventions! EXACTLY AS WE'D PRAYED FOR!!!
